At the helm of our organization is Dr. Zahid Razack, serving as the President of the Board. With a passion for community development and a wealth of experience in leadership, Dr. Razack leads our efforts to advocate for the interests of our members and foster economic growth in Little Guyana.
Assisting Dr. Razack is our dedicated Secretary of the Board, Taramattie Shivram. With meticulous attention to detail and a deep commitment to our community, Taramattie ensures that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, keeping us on track to achieve our goals.
Rounding out our board of directors is Kumarie Joseph, our Treasurer of the Board. Kumarie brings a strong financial acumen and a steadfast dedication to our mission, ensuring the responsible stewardship of our resources and the financial health of our organization.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Chamber of Commerce for the Little Guyana Neighborhood of Queens, NY is to serve as a dedicated advocate and catalyst for the businesses and overall community development within the Little Guyana Neighborhood of Queens, New York. The Chamber is committed to fostering an environment conducive to economic growth, prosperity, and the betterment of the community.
Purpose
a. Advocacy: Advocate for the interests of businesses and residents in the Little Guyana Neighborhood with local, state, and federal governments, as well as other relevant stakeholders.
b. Business Development: Facilitate the creation of new business opportunities and avenues for expansion and development within the Little Guyana Neighborhood.
c. Community Growth: Promote and support initiatives that contribute to the overall development, well-being, and quality of life for residents and businesses in the Little Guyana Neighborhood.
d. Networking and Collaboration: Foster collaboration among local businesses, community organizations, and government agencies to enhance economic growth and community resilience.
e. Education and Resources: Provide resources, information, and educational opportunities to empower businesses and individuals in the community to thrive and succeed.
f. Cultural Preservation: Preserve and celebrate the cultural heritage and diversity of the Little Guyana Neighborhood, recognizing its importance in the community's identity and growth.
Non-Profit Nature
The Chamber operates exclusively as a non-profit organization under section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code and adheres to the non-profit regulations of the state of New York.
Compliance with Laws
The Chamber conducts its activities in full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing non-profit organizations, including but not limited to those related to lobbying, fundraising, and charitable activities.
